We have expanded our creative team. We recently hired two new employees for our ink and paint department, Kenric Nilsson and Brian Lammey. The ink and paint department is one of our most important departments as well as busiest. These guys take all our scenes import them into the computer by scanning each individual frame and digitally paint them. This process back in the day would take weeks, and a painter would paint each cell by hand. Now it takes only a matter of hours with the blessing of the computer. We are very excited to be growing and expanding our animation studio and we welcome these guys aboard.
We recently updated our portfolio. We’ve added a couple more videos that we did for various clients. Our more recent video is the alumni awards video that we completed for Biola University. This and others are all in our portfolio… please check it out.
We are busy working on our animated project Theo. Please visit our other website theocartoons.com and get the latest update on the status of the project. We are currently working on episode 2, 3, and now 4. It is exciting for us at Whitestone Media to see Theo become an actual reality. Theo was created by Mike Joens over 30 years ago. The purpose behind Theo is simply teaching children God’s word. Please check it out, and let us know what you think.
Well, it’s not exactly new. It’s just different. We felt that our Flash website, as pretty as it was, was just too difficult to update and maintain. We will be able to update everyone on the progress of Whitestone Media much easier now. So, here is what has been happening since our last post in 2006.

- We completed a promo video for Bethany University
- We conceptualized and completed an animated digital short (more info coming soon)
- We completed our second Biola Alumni Video
- And finally, “Theo the Animated Theologian” was completed. We are so proud of how this project turned out. Well that just about takes care of it. We’re pretty busy around here so keep checking back for more news and updates.
We are currently developing an animated video series called “Theo,” an entertaining/ educational concept that is designed to reach children all over the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
We’ve finished production of the Village Christian Schools DVD. You can view the “Overview” section of the DVD in the “portfolio” section of our website. We hope you enjoy watching it as much as we did making it.
